Sometimes, redefining success means having the courage to build something of your own.
Every so often, you reach a point where you start asking yourself what success really looks like. Is it the job title, the salary, the next promotion? Or is it waking up excited about what you do, feeling proud of what you’re building and creating something that genuinely feels like you?
For me, that question is where We Are Weddings began.
After years of working in the wedding industry, planning beautiful celebrations, working with incredible suppliers and helping couples bring their visions to life, I knew this was an industry I wanted to build my future in. I’ve learnt so much along the way, from the importance of the smallest details to the magic of seeing months (sometimes years!) of planning come together on one unforgettable day.
But somewhere along the way, I also started to think about what I wanted my own future to look like.
I wanted to create something with my own personality at its heart. A business built around the things I believe make weddings truly special: thoughtful planning, exceptional attention to detail, meaningful experiences and, above all, a whole lot of personality. I wanted to create a space where couples feel understood, where their ideas are celebrated and where the planning process feels just as exciting as the wedding day itself.
And so, We Are Weddings was born.
More than just beautiful weddings
My vision for We Are Weddings has always been about more than creating aesthetically beautiful celebrations. Of course, I love the design, the flowers, the tablescapes and all the little details that make a wedding feel extraordinary. But what matters just as much to me is how a wedding feels.
I want to work with couples who want their wedding to reflect who they are, whether that means an elegant country-house celebration, a weekend filled with different events or something completely unexpected. I want to help create weddings that feel personal, considered and effortlessly enjoyable, without couples feeling that they have to fit into someone else's idea of what a wedding should be.
Luxury, to me, isn't simply about how something looks. It's about how it is experienced. It's the reassurance of knowing someone has thought of everything, the confidence that every detail has been taken care of and the freedom to be fully present in the moments that matter most.
That is the experience I want every We Are Weddings couple to have.
Redefining what success looks like
Starting a business is exciting, but it is also a huge leap. There are risks, unknowns, a never-ending to-do list and approximately a million things to think about! But there is something incredibly rewarding about building something from the ground up and knowing that every decision is helping shape the future you want.
For me, success isn't just about how many weddings we plan or how quickly the business grows. It's about building a reputation for doing things exceptionally well, forming wonderful relationships with couples and suppliers, and creating a business that I am genuinely proud of.
I hope We Are Weddings becomes known for its personal approach, its attention to detail and its ability to bring even the most ambitious ideas to life. I want it to grow, to take on exciting new challenges and to become a name that couples feel excited and confident about having alongside them on one of the most important days of their lives.
But I also want to enjoy the journey. To keep learning, to challenge myself, to celebrate the little wins and to remember why I started in the first place.
Because sometimes, redefining success isn't about reaching the next rung of the ladder. It's about realising you can build your own.
And so, it begins...
We Are Weddings is the start of a new chapter for me, one filled with ambition, creativity, plenty of hard work and a whole lot of excitement for what is to come.
I don't have every detail of the journey figured out just yet, and perhaps that's part of the fun. What I do have is a clear vision, a genuine passion for what I do and a determination to build something that feels completely my own.
So, if you're here at the very beginning, welcome. I'm so glad you're here.
Here's to redefining success, doing things a little differently and creating weddings that are anything but ordinary.
Welcome to We Are Weddings. The best is yet to come.
